Freeman Hospital, Newcastle

The project consisted of a new build hospital with an advanced imaging facility, including LinAccs. Jason acted as design team leader, coordinating the design output of architects, medical planners, structural and MEP engineers, and liaising directly with the contractor team, hospital trust, and user groups.

Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle

The project involved the refurbishment and new construction of the hospital, as well as the development of a new children’s hospital. Jason acted as design team leader, coordinating the design output of architects, medical planners, structural and MEP engineers, and interfacing directly with the contractor team, Hospital Trust, and user groups.

Brighton Hospital 3Ts, East Sussex

The project involved designing a new build trauma and hospital facility for Brighton Hospital. Jason acted as the principal designer and design team lead, interfacing with user groups, the contractor, the hospital trust, and other design disciplines.

Birmingham Mental Health Hospital, Birmingham

Jason was appointed to provide expert advisory services regarding 14 design and workmanship defects relating to construction design at a hospital trust.

Jason was appointed to review documents and conduct site visits to prepare an expert report in relation to a claim for breach of contract and duty of care following façade-related water damage.

David is a Chartered Architect and Technical Lead with over 25 years of international experience delivering complex, large-scale developments across the healthcare, sports and leisure, education, and research sectors. He has led the design and delivery of major clinical facilities from concept to construction. His expertise spans medical planning, departmental layout, façade and cladding coordination.

Tseng Kwon O Hospital Extension, Hong Kong

David was appointed to lead the schematic medical planning and departmental layout design (RIBA equivalent Stage 3).

Women’s and Infants Hospital, Rhode Island, USA

David was appointed as project lead for the detailed cladding and curtain-wall design coordination, overseeing both design development and delivery (RIBA equivalent stage).

Edgemoor Skilled Nursing Facility, United States of America

David was appointed as team lead designer on the façade and roof design, delivery, and detailing for a 192-bed facility in San Diego, California (RIBA equivalent stages 2–4).

St James University Hospital Oncology Wing

David was appointed as Project Architect responsible for the design and delivery of the façade, roof shell, core, and main atrium, covering all aspects of planning through to construction (RIBA stages 3, 4, and early 5).

Great Ormond Street Hospital

David was appointed as Associate Director for the design and delivery of the interior fit-out for Block 1B, the first primary children’s ward upgrade in the master plan overhaul, and upgrading the Central London site facilities (RIBA equivalent stage 4).

Manchester Joint Hospitals & Norfolk and Norwich PFI

David advised on in-house system restructuring across three offices, supervised cladding development, and contributed to schematic design and departmental planning.

He has been appointed as the MEP and commissioning expert on several healthcare disputes involving new hospital buildings in the UK and internationally.

NHS Baird & Anchor, Aberdeen

Bhavina was appointed alongside Rab Eadie (MEP) in late 2024 – 2025 to provide technical advice relating to a dispute between the NHS and a contractor for two design-and-build new hospital buildings. The scope was to outline the Programme of Work and technical standards expected at Stage 4A and Stage 4B, and provide commentary on BIM and technical coordination.

Nick was appointed as Lead Structural Engineer for the design and development of a new outpatient department, including construction on a constrained central London site and incorporating an existing Grade II listed building into the scheme, and nearby shallow London Underground tunnels.

Nick was involved in the structural engineering of a major new cancer facility adjacent to a substantial building on Marylebone Road.

Salford Royal Hospital, Manchester

Nick was appointed to investigate various defects in this newly constructed hospital complex, including issues with a multistorey car park (chloride-induced corrosion of the reinforced concrete), inadequate design and construction of a retaining wall and embankment, deterioration of external paving, and internal terrazzo flooring.
